Very nice nature park. Has a really nice kayak launch. Paddled a 3 MI round trip in 2 hours here. Tide can be unpredictable as to have been due to it being a tidal Creek. This was also my 1st time kayaking in tidal waters. Also a plus it is not very far outside of Wilmington in Winnabow. Definitely worth a try. Kayaking was the only thing I did when I went here so there may be other things there that you may be interested in. Camping is not allowed here. There is also a warning about gators and snakes on the sign when you 1st pull in, However I did not see any when I went.
They need to fix their biking trails they are designed and built poorly.
Bike trails are amazing. The copperhead is the funnest trail to do but also the most challenging.
Excellent park right outside of Wilmington. Great kayak launch onto beautiful Town Creek where you can spot gators, beavers, birds, fish turtles and more, sufficient parking, picnic tables and benches galore, beautiful trails for hiking and biking and even horse riding, I believe. This is my happy place!! Go here and bring the pup for a good nature walk!
Such a beautiful nature park for hiking & biking, also pretty waterways for canoeing & kayaking. Came across 2 snakes on the trail so please be cautious & mindful. There are also quite a few horse flies, but it is the wilderness. So all in all a great experience and I would definition recommend it. :)
